Since 1980, Samuel Chereskin has developed a reputation for serving the individual needs of each client. His considerable experience includes designing and managing a variety of building projects in residential, commercial and healthcare. With thorough knowledge of all facets of design and extensive experience in dealing with governmental bodies, he and his staff focus on attention to detail and quality of work. Before starting his own firm, Chereskin held the position of project architect with the Chicago firm of designer Bruce Gregga, one of the country’s top interior designers. In 1982 he joined the award winning architectural firm of Louis Rodwell and Associates of Pasadena, specializing in custom homes for Southern California’s elite. In the latter part of his career, Chereskin has focused primarily on healthcare design. He is currently a member of the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce and previously served as Commissioner of Historic Preservation for the City of Carlsbad.Originally from Chicago, Chereskin began his formal education at the University of Illinois, a nationally accredited and internationally recognized school of architecture. He also attended the prestigious Ecole des Beaux Arts in Versailles, France. His European schooling combined with the impact of Chicago’s bold, contemporary architecture has greatly influenced his sense of style and detail.
BRUCE DUGGAN, PROJECT MANAGER Bruce Duggan’s extensive career experience began in 1976. Throughout the last thirty years he has been involved in virtually every type of construction project the industry has to offer. Splitting his career between Los Angeles and San Diego counties, he gained experience at several highly respected regional firms. Projects produced include Healthcare facilities, Extended Stay America Hotels, Wells Fargo banks, Bristol Farms grocery stores, J.C. Penny’s,Rite Aid drug stores, Thrifty Oil mini marts, Midas Muffler stores, the American Red Cross and Burger King restaurants. These projects, in conjunction with outstanding residential projects such as The Landing Condominiums at Coronado, round out his rich architectural career. Duggan’s extensive multi-platform knowledge of computers and software for the architectural profession keeps Chereskin Architecture current with the most innovative and efficient technologies available. This translates into increased quality and productivity for our clients.
MELANIE GILL, OFFICE MANAGER / BOOKEEPING Melanie Gill has a B.S. Degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri and over 20 years experience in management, including human resources, office administration, and accounts payable/receivables. Her background provides the needed breadth and depth for all the behind-the-scenes details of efficiently running our office. |
